Interim Finance Manager / Financial Controller (3–6 Month Contract)

A growing creative business in Leeds City Centre needs an experienced Finance Manager / Financial Controller to step in, take ownership and keep the finance function moving during a key period of change.
No lengthy handovers. No endless layers of approval. Just the opportunity to make an impact from day one, working closely with the leadership team and helping steer the business over the next 3–6 months.
What you’ll be doing:
- Taking ownership of the finance function.
- Producing accurate monthly management accounts.
- Managing cash flow, forecasting and budgeting.
- Maintaining robust financial controls and balance sheet integrity.
- Supporting year-end processes and working with external auditors.
- Partnering with senior stakeholders to provide commercial insight and challenge.
- Identifying opportunities to improve processes and drive efficiencies.
- Leading and supporting the finance team.
- Ensuring VAT, statutory reporting and compliance deadlines are delivered.
What they’re looking for:
- ACA, ACCA or CIMA qualified, or a strong qualified-by-experience background.
- Previous Finance Manager or Financial Controller experience.
- Someone who enjoys rolling their sleeves up and getting stuck in.A confident communicator who can build credibility quickly.
- Calm under pressure, commercially minded and comfortable working at pace.
