Headstar’s Commercial Director, Natalie McGregor, has been named in this year’s 42 Under 42 Class of 2025 list, compiled by Yorkshire Business Insider. The annual list recognises 42 of the region’s most promising entrepreneurs and business leaders under the age of 42—those who are shaping the future of Yorkshire’s business landscape.
A Driving Force at Headstar
With 18 years of recruitment experience, Natalie has been a driving force behind Headstar’s success, blending her deep industry expertise with a people-first leadership style. As Commercial Director, she has led our successful recruitment team who have been shortlisted for multiple industry awards, introduced flexible working practices benefiting over half the team, and helped shape a more diverse leadership structure, with 60% of the Board now female. Passionate about making a difference, she also spearheads Headstar’s Donate a Day volunteering scheme and its charity partnership with Smart Works, supporting women back into work.
Reflecting on the recognition, Natalie said: “I couldn’t believe it when I saw my name on the list – I got a bit teary! I was excited just to be nominated by my team, but to be included alongside such inspiring business leaders is a real honour. It means a lot to be recognised for the hard work I’ve put in over the past few years, but I couldn’t have done it without the brilliant team around me at Headstar.”

Now in its 20th year, 42 Under 42 has built a strong reputation as a talent-scouting platform for Yorkshire’s future business leaders. Those named on the list join an exclusive network of entrepreneurs and senior professionals who have gone on to shape industries across the region. The annual 42 Under 42 Dinner brings together this year’s 42 Under 42 class to celebrate their achievements, and will take place on Thursday 17 April 2025 at the Royal Armouries, Leeds.
