The evening’s discussion will focus on “Overcoming the challenges of being a female CFO and how to build a high-performing team around you.”
Bringing together leaders from professional services, membership organisations and high-growth businesses, the diverse panel will offer a practical and honest perspective on modern finance leadership.
Amy Lewis – CFO, Walker Morris LLP
Amy Lewis is CFO at Walker Morris LLP, where she leads all aspects of the firm’s financial management while also playing an increasingly broad role across legal operations and wider business initiatives.
Since joining Walker Morris in 2017, Amy has helped shape the finance function into a commercially focused team that supports strategic decision-making across the wider business.
After training as a Chartered Accountant at PwC, Amy built her career in fast-paced retail businesses before moving into professional services. She is passionate about developing teams, creating opportunities for people to broaden their skillsets and delivering work efficiently to a high standard.
Alongside her finance responsibilities, Amy also sits on the Board at Walker Morris and plays an active role in firm-wide initiatives, including ESG and inclusion.
Kate Cooper – CFO, The Institute of Directors
Kate Cooper is CFO at the Institute of Directors, the professional body for Company Directors delivering training, networking and business support across the UK and internationally.
Having started her career at Deloitte, where she qualified as a Chartered Accountant, Kate has since built extensive experience across industry, particularly within telecoms and energy sectors.
Kate is passionate about supporting diversity within leadership teams and helping more women access senior positions and board-level roles.
Melanie Ross – CFO, pubX
Melanie Ross is an experienced CFO known for bringing clarity, stability and momentum to organisations navigating periods of growth and change.
A CIMA-qualified finance leader, Melanie has worked across public, private equity-backed and high-growth technology businesses, including major transformation projects and early-stage scaling environments.
She is recognised for strengthening reporting integrity, improving performance and building high-performing teams, while also being known for her calm leadership style and people-first approach.
