Interim Finance Manager
We are recruiting on behalf of an established, independent creative services business with a strong reputation for commercial thinking and long-standing client relationships.

They are now looking to appoint an Interim Finance Manager for a 12–18 month period.
The Opportunity:
This is a part-time role, could be 3 or 4 days per week – offering hybrid working (working to approx. 60% of time in the office).
Reporting to the Finance Director and managing a Management Accountant, the role provides oversight, structure and intelligent challenge across the finance function.
This is not a maintenance role.
It is a strengthening role.
A steady, commercially-minded presence to ensure accuracy, insight and continuous improvement.
The Role:
The Interim Finance Manager will:
- Oversee month-end processes, ensuring accuracy and timeliness
- Review monthly management accounts and provide clear commercial insight
- Analyse performance trends and recommend action where required
- Ensure invoicing, supplier processing and reconciliations are completed effectively
- Review balance sheet reconciliations to maintain financial integrity
- Review VAT returns prior to submission
- Oversee payroll, pension and HMRC submissions
- Identify and implement process improvements
- Forecasting & Cashflow
- Work with senior stakeholders to maintain accurate revenue forecasts
- Provide weekly revenue updates to the board
- Review and challenge weekly cashflow forecasts
- Flag risks early and propose pragmatic solutions
- Additional Responsibilities
- Provide ad hoc financial reporting across the business
- Prepare draft financial statements and support year-end processes
About You:
- ACA / ACCA / CIMA qualified – or equivalent
- Proven experience overseeing a small finance function
- Strong communicator, confident working with senior stakeholders
- Organised, process-driven and detail-focused
- Experience within a service-based environment advantageous but not essential
- You bring clarity to numbers.

The Package:
- £45,000 – £55,000 FTE (depending on experience)
- 25 days holiday (pro rata, excluding bank holidays)
