Purchase Ledger Clerk (Part time)

𝗪𝗵𝗮𝘁 𝘄𝗶𝗹𝗹 𝘆𝗼𝘂 𝗮𝗰𝘁𝘂𝗮𝗹𝗹𝘆 𝗯𝗲 𝗱𝗼𝗶𝗻𝗴?
You’ll look after the day-to-day purchase ledger, including:
• Processing purchase invoices
• Matching invoices against POs and delivery paperwork
• Reconciling supplier statements
• Investigating discrepancies
• Dealing with supplier queries by phone and email
• Preparing supplier payments
• Maintaining supplier records
• Keeping on top of outstanding invoices
• Making sure the ledger is accurate and up to date
• Helping the wider finance team with general finance administration when needed
𝗪𝗵𝗮𝘁 𝗮𝗿𝗲 𝘁𝗵𝗲𝘆 𝗹𝗼𝗼𝗸𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗳𝗼𝗿?
The main thing is proper, hands-on purchase ledger experience.
You might currently be a Purchase Ledger Assistant, Accounts Payable Assistant, Finance Assistant or Bookkeeper.
What matters is that you understand purchase ledger and can take responsibility for it.
You’ll need to be organised, accurate and comfortable managing your own workload. You should also be confident speaking to suppliers and sorting out queries rather than letting them sit in an inbox indefinitely.
