It’s a position for someone who knows their debits from their credits, enjoys bringing order to the numbers, and takes pride in producing accurate financial information that the business can rely on.
The business itself has built a strong reputation over many years and continues to invest in its people, systems and growth. As a result, they’re now looking for a capable finance professional who can take ownership of the day-to-day bookkeeping function and become a valued part of the team.
𝗪𝗵𝗮𝘁 𝘆𝗼𝘂’𝗹𝗹 𝗯𝗲 𝗱𝗼𝗶𝗻𝗴:
• Managing receipts, payments and transactional finance activities
• Completing bank and balance sheet reconciliations
• Preparing and submitting VAT returns
• Posting accruals and prepayments
• Supporting month-end and year-end processes
• Maintaining debtor and creditor ledgers
• Preparing journals and supporting management accounts
• Investigating discrepancies and resolving issues
• Liaising with external accountants and auditors when required
𝗪𝗵𝗮𝘁 𝘁𝗵𝗲𝘆’𝗿𝗲 𝗹𝗼𝗼𝗸𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗳𝗼𝗿:
• A solid understanding of VAT, accruals and prepayments
• Experience with accounting software
• Strong reconciliation skills
• Excellent attention to detail
• The ability to manage your workload effectively
• Good communication skills and a proactive approach
𝗪𝗵𝗮𝘁’𝘀 𝗶𝗻 𝗶𝘁 𝗳𝗼𝗿 𝘆𝗼𝘂:
• 20-25 hour working week spread over 3, 4 or 5 days
• Annual salary of up to £32k (full time equivalent, depending on experience)
• 25 days annual leave + bank holidays (pro rata)
