This isnโt a โdynamic opportunity in a fast-paced environmentโ (althoughโฆ it is fast-paced).
This is a solid Accounts Assistant role for someone who knows their way around numbers, likes things done properly, and doesnโt need hand-holding to get there.
Youโll be joining a well-established business that delivers complex projects on tight deadlines across the UK and Europe. Behind the scenes, finance is what keeps everything moving, and thatโs where you come in.
The role (what you’ll actually be doing):
Youโll be the right hand of the Finance Manager, keeping the day-to-day admin tight, accurate, and on time. That includes:
- Maintaining the purchase ledger
- Processing supplier payments
- Raising sales invoices
- Chasing customers (politely but firmly) for payment
- Spotting and fixing discrepancies before they become problems
- Updating internal spreadsheets
- Reconciling credit card transactions
- Supporting the Procurement and Finance Managers when needed
There are deadlines, there are ad-hoc requests, and there are busy periods.
What they’re looking for:
You donโt need to be flashy, but you do need to be reliable, switched on, and comfortable taking ownership of your work.
๐๐ฅ๐ฆ๐ข๐ญ๐ญ๐บ, ๐บ๐ฐ๐ถโ๐ญ๐ญ ๐ฉ๐ข๐ท๐ฆ:
- The ability to prioritise, manage your own workload, and hit deadlines
- Confidence working independently and as part of a team
- A can-do attitude matters more than a perfect CV
What you get in return:
- An annual salary of up to ยฃ28k
- 21 days annual leave (rising with service) + bank holidays
- Casual dress code
- On-site parking
- Flexibility where required
No gimmicks, just a decent role, in a stable business, with people who value pulling their weight and doing things properly.
