Headstar recently announced the launch of our new Clothing Drive in support of our charity partner, Smart Works Leeds – a local organisation that dresses and coaches unemployed women to prepare them for job interviews.
From now until the end of September, we’re asking colleagues, friends, and our wider network to donate any second-hand (or new) high-quality, interview-ready clothing that can help women take the next step towards employment.
Why Your Donations Matter
For many women, the right outfit is more than just clothing – it’s a boost of confidence and a signal that they belong in the room. Smart Works Leeds ensures their clients leave their coaching sessions not only looking the part but feeling ready to succeed.
What We Can Accept
We’d love to receive:
- Dresses, skirts, trousers, blazers and coats
- Quality shoes, handbags, scarves and accessories
- High-street or designer brands
We can’t accept:
- Fast fashion brands such as Shein, Primark, Pretty Little Thing, BooHoo
- Casual wear (jeans, leggings, sportswear), menswear, ripped or worn-out clothing
- Items with holes, stains, bobbling, or odour
If you wouldn’t wear it to an interview yourself, it’s probably not suitable for donation.
How to Donate
Donations can be given to any Headstar consultant or dropped off at our office:
Headstar, 36 Park Cross Street, Leeds, LS1 2QH.
The Clothing Drive will run until the end of September – so don’t delay.
