Finance leaders from across Yorkshire came together for the latest HerFinance Circle event, focused on investing in both leadership development and personal financial wellbeing.
Held at Box in Leeds, Investing in Yourself: Coaching & Financial Planning brought together two interactive sessions from Bianca Spruit, Leadership Consultant and Coach at Sprout Coaching, and Emma Indergaard and Judith Randall from Schofield Money.
The CPD-accredited event formed part of HerFinance Circle’s ongoing programme of events designed to bring female finance leaders together to learn, share experiences and build their networks.
Developing coaching skills as a finance leader
The morning began with Bianca Spruit from Sprout Coaching, who explored why coaching is such a valuable skill for leaders.
Bianca shared practical coaching techniques that finance leaders can use to build greater ownership within their teams, improve decision-making and help people develop rather than simply providing them with the answers.
Attendees also heard more about Sprout Coaching’s new Leadership Community, which will provide another opportunity for leaders to continue their development and connect with others.
Taking control of your financial future
The second session shifted the focus from developing your team to investing in your own financial future.
Emma Indergaard and Judith Randall from Schofield Money brought financial planning to life through an interactive gameshow-style session, exploring topics including tax planning, inheritance and building long-term wealth.
Schofield Money is an independent and Chartered financial planning firm based in Harrogate, helping individuals, families and business owners make confident financial decisions. Their team provides tailored advice across wealth management, retirement planning, investment strategies and protection, taking the time to understand each client’s goals and create a financial plan that evolves with them.
