Corporate Tax Assistant Manager / Manager

Are you tired of spending most of your time on compliance work and looking for an opportunity to become a genuine tax advisor?

If you’re looking for a role where you’ll work directly with clients, get involved in complex projects, and develop into a true specialist, this could be exactly what you’re looking for.

We’re partnering with a growing specialist tax advisory firm in Leeds that is expanding significantly as demand for its services continues to increase.

This is an opportunity to join a highly regarded team working on complex corporate tax and transaction projects for a diverse range of clients, from owner-managed businesses through to large international groups and private equity-backed organisations.

The Role

Working closely with senior members of the team, you’ll support a wide range of advisory projects and develop your technical expertise in a highly collaborative environment.

Typical work includes:

  • Corporate tax advisory projects
  • Transactions and due diligence assignments
  • Restructuring and reorganisation projects
  • International tax matters
  • Private equity-backed transactions
  • Shareholder and business owner planning
  • Supporting clients through significant growth and change

Unlike many tax roles, this position is almost entirely advisory focused, offering exposure to high-quality project work from day one.

What We’re Looking For

  • CTA qualified or studying towards CTA
  • Corporate tax experience gained within practice
  • Strong technical and analytical skills
  • Genuine interest in advisory work
  • Curious, proactive approach to learning
  • Comfortable building relationships with clients

For Assistant Manager level, some exposure to advisory work would be beneficial but isn’t essential.

For Manager level, candidates should have demonstrable experience leading advisory projects and managing client relationships.

Why Join?

  • Predominantly advisory work
  • Significant client exposure from day one
  • Opportunity to work on complex, high-value projects
  • Exposure to private equity and international tax matters
  • Accelerated progression opportunities
  • Collaborative and highly technical team environment
  • Strong work-life balance
  • Hybrid working (3 days office / 2 days home)
  • Opportunity to help shape a growing Leeds office

Location: Leeds
Salary: £45,000 – £70,000+
Hybrid: 3 days office / 2 days home
Start: ASAP

If you’re looking to build a career as a genuine tax advisor rather than remaining compliance-focused, hit apply.
