Financial Controller

With a £30m turnover and operations across two UK sites, this business needs a Financial Controller who can do more than just report the numbers. You’ll lead a team of six, work closely with senior leadership, and take ownership of financial strategy, forecasting, and efficiency. Whether it’s refining financial models, driving process improvements, or influencing key decisions, you’ll be the go-to person for making sure the business is running at its best.
You’ll need to be a qualified accountant with experience as a Financial Controller, comfortable working at pace and presenting commercial insights to non-finance stakeholders. A strong eye for detail is essential, but so is the ability to see the bigger picture. This business thrives on continuous improvement, so you’ll be expected to challenge existing processes, implement smarter ways of working, and build a high-performing team that’s always looking ahead.
The role will see you working closely with teams across the business, providing financial clarity that helps drive commercial decisions. With a focus on efficiency, automation, and strategic planning, you’ll have the scope to shape the function and make it your own. Occasional travel to the Runcorn office will be needed, but with hybrid working and a flexible approach, it’s about getting the job done, not clock-watching.
